Tomato Soup Cake
Tomato Soup Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted cake flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves and 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Sift flour with baking powder, spices and soda.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with soup, mixing until smooth after each addition.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 10 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes.
