Tomato Cake

Sift flour; measure it, then sift again with all dry ingredients except the sugar.
Cream the shortening and sugar; add the egg yolks, then add the sauce (to which the 1/2 cup water has been added) alternately with the dry ingredients.
Add vanilla. Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
