Toll House Marble Squares

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Blend together butter, sugars, vanilla and water.
Beat in egg.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in walnuts.
Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Sprinkle chocolate bits over top of dough.
Place in oven at 375° for 1 minute.
Remove from oven; run knife through dough to marbleize.
Return to oven and bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes.
