Toffee Squares
Toffee Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft butter or oleo, 1 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg, separated and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Cream butter.
Add sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.
Beat until light.
Add sifted dry ingredients and 1/2 of nuts.
Mix well and press into 15 x 10-inch pan.
Brush top with slightly beaten whites and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cut in squares while warm.
