Toffee Squares
Toffee Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft butter (or 1/2 margarine, 1/2 butter), 1 c. brown sugar, packed (or 1 1/4 granulated), 1 egg, 2 c. flour and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream butter, then sugar and others except chocolate and nuts.
Spread smoothly, thinly, and evenly on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 15-20 minutes in 350Β° oven. Melt the chocolate bits by sprinkling over hot dough.
Spread chocolate with spatula.
It then becomes icing.
Sprinkle nuts over top. Cut into 2 inch squares while hot.
