Toffee Bars
Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. packed brown sugar, 1/3 c. softened butter/margarine, 3/4 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg yolk and 2 c. bisquick, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Mix first 4 ingredients with fork in ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Stir in Bisquick until moistened. Press mixture evenly into pan.
Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until light brown.
Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips and let stand until softened, 3 to 4 minutes; spread evenly.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Makes approximately 32 bars.
