Toffee
Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks real butter (margarine will not work), 1 c. sugar, saltine crackers (approximately 12 to 16) and 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Line 9 x 13 pan with foil.
Lay saltine crackers in bottom of pan, salt side up.
(Do not overlap crackers.)
In a saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in sugar.
Continue stirring and bring mixture to boil.
Boil for 3 minutes.
Continue stirring.
After 3 minutes, pour sugar mix over crackers.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove from oven.
Dump chocolate chips over pan.
Wait about 5 minutes, then spread chips.
Allow to totally cool, then break apart.
