Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. granulated sugar, 1/2 lb. margarine, 1 can evaporated milk and 1 lemon or lime, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat sugar and butter in a pan until melted.
Add milk, little by little.
(stir) consistency (until it pulls away from the pan and spoon, hardball stage). Add 5 to 6 drops of lemon juice from fresh lemon.
Pour into a greased pan (until set).
