Tiramisu is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, 6 eggs, 6 tbsp. sugar, 1 lb. mascarpone cheese and 3/4 c. espresso or strong coffee, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Grate chocolate by hand or in a food processor.

Beat eggs with sugar by electric mixer in double boiler until tripled in volume, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Chill until cooled.

Beat Mascarpone until smooth and softened.

Blend egg mixture into cheese.

Dip flat side of ladyfingers into coffee/almond mixture and line bottom of a 9-inch glass dish.

Spread 1/2 of cheese mixture and top with half of grated chocolate.

Repeat cheese and chocolate layers ending with chocolate.

Chill covered at least 2 hours.
