Thumbprint Cookies
Thumbprint Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. oleo, 12 tbsp. sugar, 5 c. flour, 1 tsp. butter flavoring and jelly (red and green for christmas season), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix with heavy mixer the oleo, flour, sugar and butter flavoring.
Roll teaspoonful size balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press center with thumbprint.
Spoon tiny amount of colored jellies or pecan halves in the center.
Bake at 325Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
They are not brown.
They get a golden color and brown on the bottom.
Makes 100 cookies.
