The Best Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick softened margarine, 1 stick softened butter, 1/2 c. solid crisco (do not use liquid), 3 c. granulated sugar and 5 large eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream margarine, butter and Crisco.
Add sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add lemon and vanilla extracts. Pour into greased and floured Bundt or tube pan and bake at 350° for 15 minutes, then decrease temperature to 325° and continue baking for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester is clean. Makes 16 servings.
