Melt in saucepan and bring to a boil the margarine, shortening, cocoa and water.
Blend and add the sugar, salt, flour and soda. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes in an oblong cake pan. Five minutes before cake is done; mix topping.
