Fry shallots and garlic in oil until softened and lightly golden.
Add chiles and tomato, cooking until blistered and collapsed.
Toast the terasi separately or press it into the hot pan until fragrant.

Return to the pan briefly, cook until glossy, and finish with lime juice.
