Beat egg.
Add sugar and butter (barely melted).
Mix soda with buttermilk and add to mixture.
Add vanilla and work in flour. Roll dough lightly.
Add extra flour until rolled out like biscuits and cut.
Bake at 375Β°.
Makes 3 dozen.
