Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 2 tsp. vanilla extract and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Cream the shortening.
Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk.
Cover and chill.
Work with half of the dough at a time.
Store remainder in refrigerator. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut and place cookies on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375Β° for 6 to 8 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen.
