Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, softened, 2 eggs, 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour and 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add 1 egg; mix well, then add the other egg.
Mix well.
Add flour slowly; mix as you go.
Add vanilla flavoring and nuts.
Mixture should be stiff. Roll mixture out on waxed paper with a floured rolling pin cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
Makes 36 cookies.
