Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Add buttermilk and soda, stirred together.
Add baking powder.
Mix and chill for 3 to 4 hours.
Roll into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
