Tea Cakes
Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. lard (shortening), 2 2/3 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. soda, 2 tsp. cream of tartar and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix well by hand in large bowl.
Roll into balls the size of a small walnut.
Place on the cookie sheet about 2 1/2 inches apart. Do not flatten!
Bake at 350Β° until light brown.
