Tavern Bread
Tavern Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. beer (room temperature; not light beer) and 1/4 lb. butter, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix flour and sugar.
Add beer and mix well.
Spoon into a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven and pour melted butter over the loaf.
Return to oven for 15 minutes.
This can be frozen and reheated before serving.
