Tamale Pie
Tamale Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. cold water, 1 1/2 c. stone ground yellow corn meal, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 c. boiling water and 1 lb. ground beef, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine and mix cold water and cornmeal.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to boiling water.
Add cornmeal mixture, stirring constantly, bring to boil.
Partially cover pan.
Cook slowly 7 minutes, stirring often.
Line bottom and sides of casserole dish with mush.
Cook beef and onion until brown.
Stir in flour, salt and chili powder. Add tomatoes, stir in tomato sauce and corn; spoon over mush.
Bake 350Β° for 40 minutes.
