Taffy Apple Salad
Taffy Apple Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 to 8 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped, 1/2 c. sugar, 8 oz. crushed pineapple (save juice), 8 oz. cool whip and 1 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Make sauce a day ahead.
Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, vinegar and slightly beaten egg in a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until thick; chill overnight.
Mix chilled sauce with Cool Whip, crushed pineapple, diced apples and 3/4 cup peanuts.
Mix and top with remaining nuts.
