Tabooley
Tabooley is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. cracked wheat (bulgur), 1 1/2 c. snipped parsley (fresh), 3 medium tomatoes, chopped, 1/3 c. chopped green onions with tops and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cover wheat with cold water; let stand 30 minutes.
Drain; press out as much water as possible.
Place wheat, parsley, tomatoes, mint and green onions in a glass or plastic bowl.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour over wheat mixture.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Garnish with ripe olives if desired. Recipe will feed 6.
