Swiss Cabbage
Swiss Cabbage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 head cabbage, 1 1/2 tsp. oleo, 1 c. shredded carrots, 1 c. thin sliced celery and 1 tsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Quarter cabbage; cook in salted water until crispy tender (8 to 12 minutes); drain.
In saucepan, melt oleo.
Add carrots and celery; cook until tender.
Remove from heat; stir in flour and add milk.
Cook until mixture boils and thickens slightly.
Add remaining ingredients.
Stir until cheese is melted.
Pour over cabbage.
