Sweet Tomato Sauce
Sweet Tomato Sauce is an easy dinner. Made with 9 pt. tomatoes, 3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 8 slices bread, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Scald tomatoes and remove skins.
Quarter and cook until soft and well separated (20 minutes at least).
Add sugar, salt and bread, broken up in pieces.
Then cook for another 10 minutes, stirring often.
Have tomatoes simmering on medium heat.
Do not burn!
They are ready for jars at this point.
