Sweet-Sour Meatballs
Sweet-Sour Meatballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. bulk sausage, rolled into 1 1/2-inch balls, 2 (20 oz.) cans pineapple chunks, drained (reserve 1 c. liquid), 1 c. lemon juice, 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar and 2 tbsp. soy sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In large skillet, brown meatballs; drain.
Meanwhile, combine reserved pineapple liquid, lemon, sugar, soy sauce and ginger. Add cornstarch.
Mix well.
Pour over meatballs.
Add green peppers.
Simmer 20 to 30 minutes, covered.
Yields 8 dozen.
