Mix ground beef, egg, seasonings and bread crumbs with 1/3 can of tomato sauce.
Add more sauce and/or breadcrumbs until mixture is moist and well mixed.
Place remaining tomato sauce in medium saucepan with sugar and lemon juice.
Mix and place over medium-high heat.
