Melt butter; remove from heat.
Stir in 1/4 cup powdered sugar, water and vanilla.
Gradually blend flour; add pecans to make pastry-like dough.
Pinch off dough in teaspoon size balls or crescents.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 300Β° for 20 minutes.
Carefully remove.
Dust with powdered sugar; cool.
Makes about 40.
