Swedish Chicken
Swedish Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. margarine (use sticks), 4 c. bisquick, 3 c. cheddar cheese, diced in 1/2-inch cubes, 1 tsp. salt (approximately) and 5 lb. chicken breasts or thighs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Remove skin and excess fat from chicken.
Melt margarine. Grease sides and bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan generously.
Put cheese, salt, pepper and Bisquick in a bowl and toss thoroughly to coat the cheese.
Dip chicken in melted margarine and roll it in the cheese and Bisquick mixture.
Place in the pan with several pieces of cheese tucked around each piece of chicken.
Sprinkle remaining Bisquick and cheese over top of chicken.
Pour remaining margarine on top.
Cover with foil.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake until browned and crisp on top, approximately 35 to 45 minutes more.
