Sutlach(Turkish Rice Pudding)
Sutlach(Turkish Rice Pudding) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. milk, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. uncooked rice, 1 egg yolk, beaten and 5 tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Precook rice; cool.
In saucepan, mix milk, sugar and lemon peel.
Heat until almost boiling.
Slowly add the cornstarch and milk mix ture and continue to cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat.
Add beaten egg yolk, vanilla and rice. Mix well and refrigerate.
