Susan's Carrot Chowder
Susan'S Carrot Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger or ground chuck or ground turkey, brown and drain, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. each: chopped celery, green onion, onion and diced potato, 4 c. tomato juice and 2 cans cream of celery soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Brown hamburger or ground chuck or ground turkey; drain. Cover and simmer meat, salt, celery, green onion, onion and potato on low until tender.
In a large saucepan, put tomato juice, celery soup, water, carrots, garlic, marjoram, salt and pepper. Bring to boil, then add hamburger.
Simmer together 30 minutes. Pour into bowls over grated cheese.
