Sunshine Pickles
Sunshine Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 1/2 c. cold water, 3 1/4 c. white vinegar, 2/3 c. coarse salt, 1 large clove garlic and 1/8 tsp. alum, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Wash cukes.
Put dill on the bottom of a large jar; add cukes and put dill in the middle and on top, also.
Cut garlic and place on the layers.
Add alum.
Mix water, vinegar and salt and pour over pickles.
Let them sit in direct sunlight for 2 days or 3 if you like them more sour.
Keep refrigerated.
Makes 1 gallon.
