Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla.
Mix well. Roll 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board or surface.
Cut with floured cookie cutters.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375Β° for 5 to 8 minutes.
Ice with confectioners frosting or already prepared frosting in a can.
