Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
Chill dough several hours.
Roll out small portions on lightly floured board to 1/8-inch.
Cut with floured cookie cutters.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes until light browned.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
