Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. soft shortening (part butter), 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Set butter out to soften.
Then mix thoroughly all ingredients.
Chill at least 1 hour or overnight.
Roll out, cut and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
You can brush the dough with food coloring (mixed with water) to match the holiday.
Then sprinkle with sugar.
Preheat oven to 400Β°.
Bake 4 to 5 minutes, no longer.
