Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. lemon rind or 2 tsp. lemon juice, 3/4 c. sugar and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Place butter and vanilla in bowl.
Beat until mixture is smooth, about 2 minutes.
Add gradually the sugar about 30 seconds and continue beating for 1 minute.
Add eggs and beat for 30 seconds.
Stop and scrape bowl.
Sift dry ingredients.
Turn mixer to speed and gradually add dry ingredients.
Beat about 1 minute. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet about 3-inches apart. Bake at 400Β° for 6 to 8 minutes.
Sprinkle with sugar while hot. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
