Beat egg; add sugar and salt.
Mix baking powder in the flour.
Mix soda in buttermilk.
Then pour into egg and sugar.
Add butter and stir until mixed well.
Add all to flour.
Mix well; add flour until stiff dough.
Roll real thin and sprinkle with sugar.
Cut and cook in moderate oven until brown through.
Makes 150 cookies.
