Sugar Cookies 2 is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 c. flour and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix first 3 ingredients together, then mix in salt, vanilla and baking powder.
Gradually add flour so it is well blended. Drop dough on cookie sheet by spoonful.
Grease bottom of small glass and dip in sugar before pressing down each cookie gently. Add chocolate chips or M&M's, if desired. Bake 8 to 10 minutes (until golden brown on the edges) at 375Β°.
