Lay Twinkies in a deep, flat 2-quart dish.
Mix gelatin as directed on package, minus 1/2 cup water.
Add strawberries with juice to gelatin.
Pour over Twinkies (Twinkies will float). Chill for 1/2 hour to set.
Cover with layer of Cool Whip; garnish with pecans.
