Strawberry Preserves
Strawberry Preserves is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. crushed fresh strawberries (approximately 2 pt.), 4 c. sugar, 1 box sure-jell and 3/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
A large bowl, stir sugar into crushed strawberries; set aside.
Measure
3/4 cup water; mix with Sure-Jell.
Bring to a boil; boil hard for 1 full minute, stirring constantly. Add to fruit, stirring to dissolve sugar, for 3 full minutes. Ladle into jars; cover and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours, then place in freezer.
Make 1 batch at a time. Do not attempt to make double recipes.
Recipe makes approximately 42 ounces of preserves (five 8-ounce jars).
