Yolk of one egg, one cup sugar, one tablespoon cornstarch, one-half teaspoon lemon extract, two tablespoons vinegar and one cup boiling water.
Cook until thick.
Beat the white of one egg until stiff, and add one tablespoon sugar.
Spread on top of pie and slightly brown.
