Bake and cool pie shell. and hull strawberries. Cut up one cup berries. and cornstarch in 2 quart saucepan. Stir in water smooth.
Cut up berries. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and clear.
Stir in food coloring; cool.
Arrange remaining whole berries in pie crust.
Pour cooked berries firm, about three hours.
Garnish with whipped cream or topping.
