Line a medium-size dish (9 x 13-inch) with vanilla wafers. Beat together the margarine, cream cheese, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
Spread creamed mixture over wafers.
Cover with a layer of berries.
Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate until ready to serve.
