Strawberry Cream Pie
Strawberry Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. strawberries, 1 c. sugar, 1 1/3 c. water, 3 tbsp. cornstarch and 1/2 pt. heavy cream or cool whip, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Clean and wash berries.
Simmer 1 cup berries, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water for 15 minutes.
Add red food coloring.
Mix 1/3 cup water with the cornstarch; add to cooked mixture.
Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Cool and add to remaining berries. Whip the cream.
Add vanilla.
Pour into baked shell.
When cool, add whipped topping.
Chill before serving.
