Made with 24 crabs (bodies and claws cleaned), 5 c. water, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. grease from fried-out white bacon (salt pork) and 1/2 c. cornmeal, mixed with 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Bring water and salt to a boil.
Drop crabs into boiling water with grease from fried-out white bacon.
Cook until meat is white and crabs turn red.
Mix cornmeal and water until smooth.
Add to crabs and cook until thick.
Sprinkle pepper over top.
