Steamed Fish
Steamed Fish is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 48 minutes. Made with . fish (opakapaka, mullet, akule), chinese cabbage, grated ginger, chopped green onion and to 3 slices bacon (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Slice cabbage into bite size pieces; place in microwave-safe dish.
Salt fish; place on top of cabbage.
Top with grated ginger and green onion (to taste).
Place bacon (sliced into strips) on top and in stomach cavity. Microwave on High for approximately 15 minutes. Heat oil until smoky; carefully pour oil on top of cooked fish, being aware of splatters. Serve immediately.
Fish may also be placed on a couple of ti-leaves instead of cabbage.
