Steamed Artichokes
Steamed Artichokes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 large artichokes, 2 chopped garlic cloves, 4 tbsp. olive oil, 2 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley and 1/2 c. grated pecorino romano cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Remove stems from artichokes so they will stand up. Snap off any leaves that are bruised or loose.
Lay artichoke on its side and cut 1 inch off top.
With scissors, trim each of leaf points. Place them in a large pot standing up.
Spread open tops of artichokes with your hands.
Individually sprinkle each artichoke with a little of each of the seasonings.
Add about 1/2 inch of water in bottom of pan.
Cover and steam for 1 hour.
Artichokes are done when you pull out a leaf easily.
Serve as an appetizer.
