Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies
Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. butter (can use 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening) and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift together flour, soda and salt; set aside.
Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Blend into creamed mixture eggs, water and vanilla.
Beat well and then add flour.
Chill dough.
Put chocolate wafer candy (chocolate, mint or whatever) into 1 tablespoon chilled dough.
Cover wafer with dough.
(It's a surprise when you bite the cookie.) Place on cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
