Sponge Cake
Sponge Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. oil, 5 eggs and 1 tsp. flavor, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
👨🍳 Instructions
Sift flour and sugar together.
Make hole in center and add oil, egg yolks, flavor and water.
Mix in mixer until smooth. Beat egg whites very stiff. Pour batter mix over egg whites and mix gently.
Bake in ungreased tube pan.
Bake 55 minutes at 325°, then 10 to 15 minutes at 350°.
Turn upside-down to cool.
