Split Levels
Split Levels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3 oz. cream cheese, 1/3 c. evaporated milk, 2 tbsp. sesame seeds or chopped walnuts and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate, cream cheese and milk on high for approx. 3 minutes.
Add seeds, stir and set aside.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, butter, egg and almond extract.
Spread and press 1/2 of this mixture in the bottom of a 9 x 9 inch pan.
Spread chocolate mixture on top. Sprinkle remaining dry mixture on top of chocolate.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 - 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
