Spinach Madeline
Spinach Madeline is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, 4 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 large onion, chopped and 1/2 c. evaporated milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
👨🍳 Instructions
Cook and drain spinach.
Reserve 1/2 cup liquor.
Melt butter in saucepan.
Add onions.
Cook until soft and clear.
Add flour. Cook smooth but not brown.
Add seasonings.
Add cheese.
Cut into small squares.
Add cooked spinach.
If too dry, add liquor from spinach.
Put buttered bread crumbs on top.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
